History
Founded in 2002, with a planning grant from The Prudential
Foundation, the Urban Capital Group, in partnership with the New
Jersey Institute of Technology Enterprise Development Center at
the ribbon cutting November 2002 for the new EDC III facility in
Newark’s Science Park. IFEL is currently housed within the NJIT
Enterprise Development Center III facility — an 80,000 sq. ft.
building located at 211 Warren Street, Newark, NJ. Location within
the EDC III facility enabled IFEL to immediately launch its
incubation program offering participants below market rate office
space and shared services including conference rooms,
receptionist, administrative support, office equipment, resource
library, and parking.
